What's your earliest musical memory?
When I was 4 or 5, my older sister had a Freddie & the Dreamers album I used to love because it had this song called "Do the Freddie." It was a totally silly song with a ridiculous dance to go along with it, but I loved it!
At what age did you decide to become a musician?
I saw my sister's boyfriend lip-sync to the song "Brandy (You're a Fine Girl)" when I was about 7 or 8. That really inspired me, but I don't think I knew this was what I wanted to do until I performed for the first time at age 14.
What/when/where was your first musical performance?
Like John, it was at my junior high talent show. We played Kiss, Cheap Trick, and Rush. I sang and my brother played the drums.
If you could choose to play any venue anywhere in the world, where would it be?
It's sometimes more fun when there's lots of people [around], but I don't care where I play as long as I play!
If you could choose any musician, past or present, to write lyrics to your original music, who would it be? ...to set music to your original lyrics?
I was blessed with no writing talent...
Choosing from past/present musicians, if you could put together the perfect band, who would the members be?
A perfect band to me is a band of true friends that thoroughly enjoy playing music, even if no one's listening. I think I got it in the Davanos.
If you could change one thing about the music scene, what would it be?
I'd put me on top of it!! | |
What's your favorite... There's just no way to pick one song... film genre/movie: Pretty much anything but gore-type horror movies... reading material/title: TV Guide...
